Trader Joe’s is hands down, one of my favorite stores. I love the feeling of walking into a specialty grocery store but not paying high-end specialty prices. If you do not live close to a Trader Joe’s store, it is definitely worth taking a road trip and paying them a visit.
The shelves in Trader Joe’s are stocked with an abundance of yummy treats, but today I’m going to share some fun items I picked up during my last visit.
Trader Joe’s flowers never disappoint. They are always beautiful and stay fresh for a long time. Ar you in need of a birthday gift, Mother’s Day gift, or you just want to do something nice for someone? The flowers from Trader Joe’s are always a great choice and they are priced well.
This hyacinth bulb comes in the glass vase and only costs $1.99! With Mother’s Day right around the corner, what a great gift!
I purchased these tulips on Sunday. Aren’t they gorgeous?
Yes, cookie butter is as decadent and sinful as it sounds. Cookie butter does not taste like peanut butter, but if you are a fan of peanut butter, almond butter, or any of the butters, you may love this cookie butter from Trader Joe’s. If you love gingerbread cookies, imagine gingerbread cookies in butter form. It’s a great topping for ice cream, spreading on fruit, cookies, or toast. If you want to be really naughty, just stick a spoon in the jar and enjoy! Don’t judge me for enjoying it best this way…(Hahaha).
Premium Greek 100% Olive Oil
I’m a fan of excellent olive oil. Whether it’s mixed with vinegar as a salad dressing, as a dip for warm, crusty bread, or as an ingredient for hummus, we always need to keep olive oil on hand. Trader Joe’s sells this large bottle (33.8 fl oz for $8.99).
I grew up on Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup. It’s thick and sweet and served its purpose for many years. As an adult, I have been introduced to maple syrup, and I can never go back to Mrs. Butterworth’s. Plus, maple syrup is great to use in place of white sugar when baking. Trader Joe’s has one of the best maple syrups I’ve tried and Consumer Reports consistently ranks Trader Joe’s maple syrup as a great value due to it’s quality and price.
Sutter’s Formula Cookies
No explanation needed for these Sutter’s Formula Cookies. The explanation on the bag says it all.
Yes, they really are rich and chewy.
If you are looking for an occasional sweet drink for your kids (or you!) to enjoy, you may want to try this pink lemonade from Trader Joe’s. It’s lower in calories (40 calories per serving) and uses organic lemon juice. My daughter does not seem to notice that it’s less sweet than other lemonade varieties and loves when I pack it in her lunch.
I wasn’t sure if I should include this in the list, because seaweed is not one of my favorites. However, I know many people that love it and crave it for a daily snack. If you are interested in a salty, green, unique snack, give it a try! I would love to hear your thoughts!
So, what are your favorite Trader Joe’s items? Please share your thoughts. Happy shopping!
