Summer is upon us and this time of year always reminds me of my own childhood summers. I used to love making homemade popsicles with my mom. We kept it very simple. We would pour orange juice into a white cup and before it froze entirely, we would stick in a popsicle stick. Several hours later, we had popsicles! [Read more…]
My husband claims he never ate Tex Mex foods, like tacos and enchiladas, until he met me. He’s exaggerating, but the point he’s making is that Tex Mex dishes are my favorite. Over the years, my husband has grown to enjoy them as well. What’s not to love about a crunchy taco with fresh toppings and a margarita on the side?
Wow! What a week! The school year is winding down which is both exciting and a little crazy at the same time. In teaching, I experience firsthand that the changes of the beginning of the year and the end of the year are the most busy and unpredictable. There are always unexpected changes and you never know what to expect. [Read more…]
I’ve said it before. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. With so many options available, what’s not to love? My husband and I love brownies. When we have a sweet tooth on a Saturday night, it’s easy to grab a box and bake a pan of brownies. Recently, I decided to try making the Classic Ghirardelli Brownies. These brownies are not from a box. They are homemade, from scratch, and oh so decadent. We loved them. Even my daughter enjoyed them and she is not a fan of brownies (how is that possible?).
