So I love the fact that the goal of this blog challenge is to hold you accountable for posting. However, I still managed to get behind on my posts. I am around two weeks behind with my posts and I had to remind myself not to sweat the small stuff. It may take double or triple the time to complete the challenge and that is fine. It’s not a tragedy or a disaster. I am figuring out this blogging thing. I love it and I want to continue loving it.
I used to believe there wasn’t any truth to the notion that there aren’t enough hours in a day. I’ve changed my mind. I completely believe that notion now. Let me clarify-there are usually enough hours to finish the things we NEED to finish, but there’s not always enough time for all the things we WANT to do. I’m working on balancing the two.
On to the blog challenge. I figured I would just pick up from where I stopped. That brings us to Day 7 and my 10 favorite foods. This was a little more challenging than I initially thought. I thought about why such a simple task became challenging. The reason is that you’re vulnerable. People will find a reason to judge everything about you. They see certain items on the list and they gasp or have an opinion. I had to let that go and just be real. In the end, it’s not that deep, so let’s have fun as that is the point if this exercise.
1. Favorite pizza-Cheese pizza
2. Favorite comfort food-Mac and cheese
3. Favorite fish-Salmon
4. Favorite breakfast-IHOP Pancakes
5. Favorite vegetable-Spinach
6. Favorite fruit-red grapes
7. Favorite salty snack- popcorn
8. Favorite dinner food- Mexican (tacos, enchiladas,etc.)
9. Favorite adult beverage-Margaritas! They deserve the exclamation point.
10. Favorite sweet snack/dessert-Chocolate chip cookies
You may see a common theme here. Carbs are my weakness. I have to admit that I’m a little envious of those people that don’t do carbs and don’t miss them or crave them. I truly hope to reach that point someday. For now I’m a work in progress and that’s OK.
